Four routes to choose from all with sections you'll love and others you'll love that you made it up them.
- Check out the routes to see what you're in for. Just don't poke yourself in the eye looking at all the pointy bits on the elevation profile.
- GORILLA is the big beast for 70 miles with 12 unPAved roads and 7 categorized climbs
- BABOON is no joke for 50 miles with 9 unPAved roads and 6 categorized climbs
- MARMOSET seems small but feels big for 33 miles with 5 unPAved roads and 3 categorized climbs
- ORANGUTAN is our new clean route for 60 miles with 0 dirt roads and 5 legit climbs
- MAIN AID STATION Gorilla & Baboons will go by the St. John Hill Church up to 3 times. There will be hydration, prepackaged snacks, porta-johns, and your drop bags.
- Drop Bag Info: Pack a bag of whatever you'll want in a well-marked bag and leave it with us at the start and we'll bring it to the aid station and back to the finish. Likewise you can dump some stuff in the car to be driven back to the finish. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for any of that stuff. Mark it well. Remember to get it at the finish or it will get donated.
- Use this spot wisely: Don't expect a lift back if you're tired. If you're cooked at the stop, consider skipping a categorized climb (or 2, or 3). It's still a healthy ride back to Emmaus from there.
- There will also be hydration available for Marmosets on course.
- START/FINISH LOCATION Valley Preferred Cycling Center is our venue, with loads of parking, locker rooms, food & beer vendors, and a big ol’ plaza to throw the Sponsorific Swagtastic Raffle Post-Party in.
- 7:30-10am: Check in at the Velodrome's ticket booth to sign the waiver, get your number and swag.
- 8-10am: No mass-start! You can start anytime after you check-in, sign the waiver, and get your number. Here are recommended start times...
- Gorillas (70-miles): 8-9am
- Baboons (50-miles): 8-10am
- Marmosets (30-miles): 9-10am
- Orangutans (60-miles, no dirt roads): 8-10am
- Noon-5pm: POST-PARTYÂ
- 2pm, 3pm, 4pm: Sponsorific Swagtastic Raffle drawings. We’ll also do one when the final finisher rolls in.
This is not a race! But there are still some rules to follow.
- Follow all rules of the road, which will be open to traffic.
- Marshals will stop riders, not cars. Follow their instructions.
- Carry what you need if you have a mechanical. You will be expected to fix your own flats and do minor repairs. No follow vehicles or outside support vehicles of any type will be allowed as it is unsafe to have a caravan of vehicles following the ride.
